Re: do hobbies/sports typically have no forums?

I saw a review saying Winget straps were questionable on Amazon.

Hamstring injury from missed kicks...

Anyone else get this? If I miss a few kicks during a hard workout I'll have injured hamstrings for a few days. Ugh.

do hobbies/sports typically have no forums?

XC basically has no online forum that's significantly active. Same with cyclocross. Is this common across sports and hobbies? I have experience w other biking and there seems to be more action. Also definitely things like archery, marksmanship, hunting all have HUGE millions of forum discussions. Bi...

Re: Measuring skier watts?

I see that NordicTrack has a new machine that measures watts but it looks kinda lame. well, for integrated allbody work anyway. looks like you put a cable to one foot at a time. ugh. https://www.nordictrack.com/fusion-cst-series I wonder if the original NT could have bindings put onto its boards. It...

Re: Measuring skier watts?

SkiErg does a calculation of meters/pace to determine watts. not a real wattmeter. or maybe none of them are? no, the ones mounted on bike-parts (hub/crank) are real. couldn't a real meter be mounted to any axle? so a poling axle and a striding axle...

cheap chinese knockoffs? ...poles?

Anyone try the Winget poles? $50 for 100% carbon. Chinese knockoffs.

Any other cheap Chinese knockoff xc ski gear out there? They seem to aim at the hightech stuff. Carbon, lights, gopro's.

Measuring skier watts?

I feel I've brought this up before but I did a search and came up empty. Is there a handy way for skiers to measure watts? I would think that one of those skiable treadmills could just have a wattmeter on it and however fast you could get it going would tell you. I recall discussing this somewhere a...

How long do skis last?

I'm guessing their lifespans are rated by mileage but I haven't seen any ratings of lifespans or comparisons or estimations. What a funny biz is our ski trade! I'd guess that 2000 miles might be a nice ski lifespan. ...I did see that mileage noted by a brand for a nowax ski model. However, waxables ...
