no, not looking for world cup glide...just looking for bases that are not completely junk...

Waxing Chariot Skis

Does anyone have any advice for waxing chariot skis - we have the ones made by Rossi that are drilled through the base. The bases seem super cheap and don't take to waxing very well...after an hour of skiing in the Sierra with warm snow temps, they are completely full of dirt - like, completely FULL...

I overheard the local Toko rep in Tahoe tell someone that the companies are not commonly owned - they just have the same US distributer?

Re: Fit of Madshus boots?

don't have a ton of experience, but my last skate boots were a size 42 Salomon (the newer bumble bee ones - not sure of the model name).

I'm now in a pair of madshus skate boots, also size 42, that fit great. i am usually a 8.5 men's street shoe

Madshus Nano Carbon Skate Boot size 42 $175 obo

Used three times - like new condition - retails for $399, I'd like to get $175 shipped anywhere in CONUS.

Re: XC Season Begins in Tahoe!!!

Re: Heat Gun for waxing

thanks for the tips - i've never cut poles before and i will be cutting three sets of Nano Carbon Race 100 UHM Poles (they are pretty darn expensive), so i welcome any pointers. i plan to use a hacksaw and a miter box...i've watched a few vidoes and it doesn't seem too complicated.

XC Season Begins in Tahoe!!!

We are still need more snow, but it's nice to finally be able to get out! First season with our little one - just turned 12 weeks old. Saturday we did some striding with him in a chest harness and Sunday we took the Chariot on its maiden snow voyage (both at Tahoe Donner Cross Country). http://i1086...
