Re: Just moved to Denver. Looking to xc ski again

Seems Colorado is getting many new XC skiers. I'm an ex-Deverite now living in Soutern CA. Here is my recommendations for you newbies in CO: I used to ski Breckenridge Nordic Center until they put so many houses on the property. A better (by far) are is Frisco. It is about 11 miles north of Breckenr...

Re: January Breckenridge Trip

I used to ski Breck Nordic Center until they put so many houses on the property. A better (by far) are is Frisco. It is about 11 miles north of Breckenridge. Great tracks. About 40 k in total i think. Some good hills, too. If the snow is good the Daytons will give you the best corduroy tracks you ca...

A question or two

I am considering getting into roller skiing. I currently am doing inline speed skating but I am limited to where I can skate. My thinking is because roller ski wheels are softer than inline wheels I can venture onto bike trails too rough for my skates. Question: how does one control downhill speed? ...

New to forum

I am a senior living in Southern CA. Currently doing inline speed skating on the roads around my home. And, I am the only skater in the town of Camarillo. At least I think I am as I have never found any one local to train with. Formerly from Denver CO where I skied XC freestyle in the Rockies. Mostl...
