Re: Russian doping? -- (try again, on topic)

At the end of the day I try to dismiss all "conversations" about doping allegations, either you are positive or you are negative. You are clean unless proven otherwise. That is how it works. If the doping officials have concerns, conduct more tests, develop more sensitive assays. Don't use...

I think it would make an excellent double poling ski, just what you love Jeff!

Re: Video link for World Cup races -- US viewable...

**SPOILER ALERT** I recently watched the Ruka sprint, Klæbo lost first place because we wanted to "hot dog" prematurely, allowing Bolshunov to pass for the win. Klæbo then continued to pout and acted like a spoiled child at the finish and awards ceremony. Bolshunov has amazing range, spri...

Re: Your heritage?

My family - going back at least 6 generations - are all Southerners from Virginia. No Nordic skiing in our bloodline. Interestingly, I grew up in the Northern exurbs of Detroit and would see folks cross country ski on occasion. It was a core injury in 2014 that kept me from running and I wanted to s...

Re: Cold winter this time?

We've had a cold start to the 2018/19 winter in Northern Virginia. We've already received 3 inches of snow and the forecast for Thanksgiving is 32/19F.

Re: SkiMo videos from Catamount area...

I'm surprised how much glide you get with the skins on. I always assumed the skis didn't slide at all with the skins on but you can clearly see good amounts of glide.

Re: FF Rollerskis

The classic skis look stable. I don't understand why rollerski manufactures have such a small gap between the fork and wheel? This is where/how stones get jammed - throwing the skier off balance! I would think a design where the gap is maximized allowing stones to clear this space would be safer? I...

Re: Any good combi ski?

On most classic skis do you apply grip wax (or are they all fishscale)?

I wonder if its possible to design a "skin" combo ski?

Re: good hand angle (pronation)

I had a similar issue when I first started rollerskiing in 2015. The solution that worked for me was replacing ALL of my pole grips with the Leki system so the gloves connect directly into the pole grip. Its a brilliant system and I have not had any more issues with my hands.
