Interesting question. Maybe hairies would do for most conditions.

Thanks, Dave. Grass skiing is apparently not totally obsolete, but here they only run uphill and walk downhill without any gliding. It is probably good balance training.

They are both good, but roller skiing is better.

Re: SkiGo Rollerski Experience?

Here is one review (in German): https://www.xc-ski.de/material/skiroller-test/training-klassik-rennlaeufer-2016/skigo-carbon-hard-780-nis/ What I have against this model is that the NIS plate isn't attached according to balance point. That, however, would be impossible since it uses the long one-pie...

Rottefella Electric

What do you think of Rottefella Electric? It is a remote controlled NNN-NIS type of binding that lets you change binding position during skiing without the need to stop. Will it have a market? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdST4veiv-c

Re: Your favorite free software?

I can find plenty of evidence on the internet that the world is flat...that doesn't make it true. "Researching" by yourself using the internet is likely to just confirm whatever uninformed bias you already have, not necessarily bring forth any truth. Blah, please show me the evidence that...

Re: Your favorite free software?

Maybe make a separate thread about it. Or maybe not. This thread was initially about software, until it drifted towards paranoia. Perhaps we should stick to sport/skiing - there is enough fake news everywhere already. There is no paranoia in telling the truth. You should examine the Holocaust inste...

An important tangent, I would say. Please check those guys out on e.g. YouTube. They have revolutionary and horrific stories to tell that mainstream media do not dare or are not allowed to cover.

According to several comments on YouTube, Vladimir Putin was behind the squirrel attack.

Squirrel attack in biathlon

Yesterday, in the ladies' World Cup biathlon mass start in Holmenkollen a squirrel (and then another one) made a very funny guest appearance. Have a look at this: http://www.svt.se/sport/vintersport/fra ... av-ekorre/

Re: Is there something that is slippery on grass?

I have wondered if you could get decent training done on old skis using them on the grass. I never have gotten an answer if people train that way. Any thoughts? In Russia some decades ago they trained on grass with regular skis. Maybe a little wider skis are preferable and I presume that if the gra...

Speaking of Holocaust deniers, please check out what has happened to Robert Faurisson, David Irving, Ernst Zündel, Fred Leuchter, Germar Rudolf and David Cole. Intelligent and moral men who told the truth. Holocaust did not happen Magnus? This concludes our conversation. The Holocaust didn't happen...

Re: Your favorite free software?

Public organizations, such as the big internet companies have no choice but to filter out the content they serve, ex: https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/mar/15/google-quality-raters-flag-holocaust-denial-fake-news Of course they have a choice, but they are afraid of the repercussions from ...
