Really? Earlier you wondered how I had found all the brands, and now they show up in your list.

Thanks.

Re: FF Rollerskis

The classic skis look stable. I don't understand why rollerski manufactures have such a small gap between the fork and wheel? This is where/how stones get jammed - throwing the skier off balance! I would think a design where the gap is maximized allowing stones to clear this space would be safer? I...

Re: Any good combi ski?

On most classic skis do you apply grip wax (or are they all fishscale)? I wonder if its possible to design a "skin" combo ski? I don't know what is most common nowadays. 30 years ago it was almost only grip wax skis. Then came fish scales, and now the latest years skin skis. In competitio...

Re: FF Rollerskis

FF Rollerskis are innovative and built with great knowledge, and it would be interesting to try them. They use a kind of external and bigger version of the Elpex Evolution suspension fork. The classic style wheels look especially intriguing.

Re: List of rollerski producers

Magnus is keeping a list here , and I'm updating one on the Norwegian rollerski wikipedia entry here . Should probably do one on the English Wikipedia page too. I assume you called yourself Bukken Bruse at Wikipedia. Your entry was removed. Interesting. One of the many Wikipedia pseudonyms removed ...

It is not only possible, it is easier than on classic roller skis. Where it becomes difficult is on pneumatic wheels.

Plough braking on rollerskis

Ski instructor Sindre Wiig Nordby has written the following funny article about plough braking on roller skis: https://blogs.fasterskier.com/insidetra ... ick-fixes/
The photo of Håvard Skorstad is hilarious.

Hjul Ski

I have just discovered the roller ski brand Hjul Ski: https://www.pioneermidwest.com/summer/rollerskis/
It has one classic and one skate model. Both seem like solid constructions at very competitive prices.

I suspect the answer is no in both cases.

Fischer actually makes a combi ski, the SC Combi. Pioneer Midwest has it for sale: https://www.pioneermidwest.com/fischer- ... combi.html

Re: BARNETT ROLLER SKIS????

I think the Fischer argument is you lift the rear wheel at some point in the stroke so can no longer kick, although I can't see much force on the front wheel at this point either. When the rear wheel is lifted the active kick phase is over. One would need a fixed heel if a front wheel kick would be...

Re: BARNETT ROLLER SKIS????

Hello, David, and thanks for the photo! I believe the ratchet in the front wheel is better for avoiding a so-called late kick since the binding is normally mounted a little behind balance point which makes the rear wheel getting more downward pressure than the front wheel, especially if one kicks wi...

The common notion is actually the opposite, i.e. that having the ratchet on the front wheel helps prevent late kick.

Re: Rottefella Move System

After having watched the Vimeo videos by Rottefella, it looked like the Move System for integrated NIS plates (NIS 1.0) was the hardest to operate; the binding seemed to glide better on both RMP and IFP.

Yes, see at the bottom of the page here: https://www.rottefella.com/move-system The different Switch Kits: https://www.rottefella.com/bindings-accessories/bindings-for-cross-country/move OK, thanks! However, from what I have seen now, one can't use anything else than a Rottefella NIS 2.0 binding to...
