Re: Classic Rollerskis that can Handle Variety of Surfaces?

I do like the stability and ruggedness of my Jenex Aero's but I have two main issues with them. (1) they frequently have tracking issues (that might be true for all rollerskis), and (2), they're too short and I don't feel like I can lean forward enough on them. I have the 150SC that Jenex later ret...

Re: Tracking Issue on Jenex RC150

Sorry, what I meant is that moving the bindings back 3” might cause bigger problems than having the back wheel dropping a little. That depends on how far in front of the balance point the bindings are. Dave is tall and I presume his feet are not very small. In any case, with a new pair of roller sk...

Re: Tracking Issue on Jenex RC150

Loosen front and rear axles, clamp both wheels between two straight boards, then tighten axles and wheels will be parallel = go straight. This is how the Siriro device work. As for balance point, you push off from ball of foot in center of ski, so the binding pivot point will always be a few inches...

Re: Tracking Issue on Jenex RC150

I notice I'm constantly stepping right to correct my rollerskis wanting to track left. Is there an adjustment to fix this? Should I rotate the tires? Siriro has the following device for straight wheel mounting: http://www.siriro-shop.de/zubehoer-rollski/verschiedenes/einstellvorrichtung.htm Also, I...

Re: Microwave radiation

Another YouTube video featuring Olle Johansson is recommended: This one is from The Open Mind Conference 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and is a good example of the both very serious but also humorous lecturing style of professor emeritus Johansson with his heavy Swedish accent (Olle essentially speak...

Re: Double Poling Question

I need to correct my question -- it is not double poling but double pole/kick that is the question. So sorry for misstating the issue. Hey, Pat! The legwork of classic skiing is very well known for easily causing injuries in the groins, especially to those knew to the movements, so pain in quads or...

The race is held in the beginning of May. Days just below the arctic circle are already very long then. Here is a map of the race: http://www.fossavatn.com/fossavatn-com/ ... gan-en.jpg

Re: Road rage against rollerskiers

Here is an example of a Swedish car driver that thinks roller skiers are idiots. He writes under the video: "One has to be very stupid in the head if one roller skis in the middle of summer in 26 degrees C."
Ha, ha, ha!

Re: Ole-Einar Bjørndalen retires at 44

About microwave radiation, we've all felt its effect getting 'burned' ear when using phone and we all see what happens to food in the micro cooker, but I'm still doubtful background radiation will cause real health issues. That depends on how strong the background radiation is. The natural backgrou...

Re: Ole-Einar Bjørndalen retires at 44

I wonder if his problem has been brought on by too much training over the years ? I talked with a lady who has a lot of insight into microwave radiation effects on the human body, and she said that the many heart problems among athletes the latest years are most certainly linked to microwave exposu...

Tucking would give a little static training and it is also a part of skiing technique.

Re: Skierg with Rollerskis?

Another option (which I've done) is to wear slideboard booties while using the skierg. They can be a bit slippery for DPing but you can get a fairly realistic kick-double pole going while wearing them. I'll skierg to a 50K classic race on YouTube and just do the same technique I'm watching. If they...
