Re: Anyone rollerskiing yet?

Borrowed the FF classics and tracking is waay better than the Swenors, and although you're not wobbling on a point, they still don't feel flat to the ground like on snow. I want to buy them, but they are quite expensive, and the flex shock dampening part was not that noticable TBH. And since the whe...

Re: Anyone rollerskiing yet?

First time trying classics. Was struck how the wheels are not flat so you have to balance on a point. I didn't find the rollerski classic "round" wheels too bad to use - I guess they do that so you can turn? Maybe not having flat wheels might have something to do with resistance and bumpiness? The ...

Yeah that's rough. You'd think they could do better. Luckily speeds were not too high.

Re: Anyone rollerskiing yet?

Must say I felt very vulnerable without brakes on the borrowed skis having always used them on my Jenex. Not nice at all, even if I purposefully chose a flatter route. I will definitely get brakes if I change. The new type that attaches to the shoe will allow me to go for the Swenor or other brands,...

Re: Anyone rollerskiing yet?

Very nice areas. I Google-walked some of the routes now, but the asphalt in Alpino was poor like you say.

What were you doing in Italy?

What about braking or did you walk down all? Seems steep in places.

Todays top class rollerski races too dangerous say racers

World Cup skier Emil Iversen and others are saying the rollerski races are getting out of hand, and gets support from FIS XC delegate Vegard Ulvang. Too crowded and too fast, and some races on unknown or not much used roads with pitted roads etc. Iversen just hangs back on the downhills, even though...

Slow forum

Painfully slow recently. Reminds me of surfing in the old dial-up modem days from the 90's.

Re: Anyone rollerskiing yet?

Borrowed a pair of Swenor Alutech rollerskis from the shop. First time trying classics. Was struck how the wheels are not flat so you have to balance on a point. Very weird feeling, quite unlike skiing classic in tracks on snow, and more like off-track and on glazed snow. https://i.imgur.com/Nqezg1f...

A nice pic from the rollerski tour (Julie Henriette Arnesen wins Madona sprint '18). Interesting how the boots are taped for an even closer fit..

Grats with new skis. What brake is that exactly? Swenor's own?

Re: Blink 2019 - Lysebotn Opp - Races

Impressive double poling by Musgrave. He deliberately got rid of a lot of muscle mass and it's working well, but how many times do we see 'summer stars' fade come the winter. Therese Johaug is so much in a class of her own on uphills like this that pundits are seriously suggesting she should join th...

About mountain bike and xc ski side by side, I believe they have around the same avg. speed interestingly.

Sounds like fun, except when you say running I guess it wasn't on rollerskis?

I would love to try biathlon.
