Re: Your favorite free software?

Can also strongly recommend Bulk Rename Utility: file renaming software for Windows.

Very advanced but still easy. Can even change file dates etc.

Re: A weekend with Marie Dorin

Thanks, a fun read. It must have been a great experience to try real biathlon in proper settings with proper equipment (can't believe championship weapons are being let out like that), and good prone shooting, seems you have the hang of this. I bet watching races in the winter will be much more inte...

Re: good hand angle (pronation)

There's the Exel Suspension Tip, and StaffanSTAVEN where the damper is in the handle.

Re: Wassup?

Next week I'll start preparing for winter in as much as I'll take a hammer and chisel to my normal route and remove (or cut the tip if too big to be removed) the stones that stick up first snow. I'm also considering selling my skate skis now that I got skin skis. My favorite skate track was cut up (...

Re: Collapsible poles

Possible but unlikely IMO as just the slightest weight difference between poles is really noticeable and makes for a different experience, I've experienced this myself. It seems collapsible poles would always weigh more with the locking mechanisms. Also the risk factor. Would you trust it to always ...

Re: Just a winter pic

To be fair, the most spectacular part of the trip was however the starry night sky over the Arizona desert. It was unreal with the Milky Way and the sheer number of stars and brightness of it all. It's rare to be struck by a moment in nature but that was one of those few times that really hit. I am ...

Re: Johannes Høsflot Klæbo makes custom rollerski with IDT

It turned out that was just the skating ski. They have now made a Klæbo classic ski as well, but doesn't say what the innovation is.

As expected sales have gone through the roof.

Re: Gignoux Carbon Ski Boots

Looks very cool and extreme but also slightly uncomfortable being so minimalistic.

I got Rossignol X-IUM WC Classic racing boot for their light weight, but after the agony I had to endure before they were 'bent' to my feet means I'm skeptical to the ultra-lightweight stuff now.

Back training again, but still no rollerskiing. Just no appetite for it. It's as if I had my fill this winter and must save it for the next.

Re: Just a winter pic

Slighty weird to see snow again. Winter seems so far off. But good Photobucket came to their senses and stopped shafting their users. I anyway changed to Imgur and happy with that. Didn't see your site before and realize you are a photographer by trade Montana, some fab pics on your site there. You ...

Re: Training philosophy

Major shift in training philosophy for the Norwegian World Cup team as they are scaling down altitude training for the first time since early 90s. This is in large part due to the Olympic success of Klæbo, Haga and Hegstad Krüger who stayed away from altitude, and also the failure of others like Wen...

Re: Blink 2018

So weird to see skiing in the summer.. Johaug delivered a knockout, but expected as she's an uphill specialist. Kruger and Holund continue their great form winning the uphill, but Bolshunov winning the 60k is a warning of things to come this winter. Hard to forget he's only 21, and seems like it's t...

Re: Classic Rollerskis that can Handle Variety of Surfaces?

For brakes I would suggest the type which is attached to the boot like made by Fischer or Skike, leaving you free to chose any ski model. I haven't tried either but seems to be better than the type that's fixed to the ski as it doesn't interfere with the weight and balance point of the ski, and got ...

Wassup?

After the best winter for years came the best summer I can remember so obviously loving it even if a bit on the warm side. If this is climate change I'm loving it.. ;) Still to get rollerskiing, but even normal gym training has been suspended in the heat and after the busy winter skiing season. Just...
