Nice. Been ages since I skied off-piste on crust, looks fun.

Re: Innovations in today's rollerskis?

Looks very neat as all other brakes are not good when it's wet out, but these will only work on their own skis and they might be heavy, not sure.

A shop not far will let people try them out, so hopefully I can do that this season.

Re: Crossover roller blading, roller skiing and skating

Sorry to hear about your arm. I too had quite a twist when my rollerski pole got jammed between two planks on a boardwalk and the arm was properly sore for months and I was worried it would never be ok, but when I finally stopped nursing it and spanked it in the gym with heavier weights it recovered...

Re: Reducing camber

Had the skis tightly clamped for exactly a month, and boiinng!! ..back to same measurement, it's crazy. I will leave them clamped until next season start now but no surprise if they remain unchanged. There might be difference height vs pressure so I should probably measure with a piece of paper unde...

Yeah that was fun. Impressive time too. Never got to see much of his final skistyle though.

Re: World Cup 2018/2019

So Klæbo and Østberg won the cups this season, but it was very close in the mens with Bolshunov in the hunt until the last meters in the final race in Quebec. Now it turns out Bolshunov was unsure he could even make it to the last race as his visa to Canada was seriously delayed, only arriving the d...

Re: Reducing camber

As the season is over, I will now clamp them for as long as it takes. Whole summer if need be. I'll measure once in a while to check and report the findings here.

Re: US Biathlon Article in Seattle Times

It seems typical for countries with an uneven team to put their best on the first legs now, unlike before. I guess the idea is that at least those can have fun and grow on the top level fight instead of starting the last leg far behind and be uninspired. But sometimes even the lower ranked can reall...

Re: Winter season 18/19

So how was your season?

Think I had my last trip today. Track melted away in places at the end.

Re: US Biathlon Article in Seattle Times

This year the team started well with Clare Egan in very good ski form, but had some incidents (resulting in loss of confidence?). Sean Doherty is starting to shoot good and likely to have a top result one of these days IMO. Well it was Egan who finally got it together with a podium in the last mass...

Re: Reducing camber

Almost 3 days under the clamp now (only single, couldn't find the other one), but only reduced by 2 mm. Wouldn't be surprised if they return to 0 after use.. Hopefully go out for a run tomorrow to check. Should say these are racing skis (Salomon RC Equipe) which I suppose could be more 'firm' in the...

Re: Reducing camber

Yeah I've tried moving the binding all the way forward but they still won't bite unless I jump, but encouraging to hear the clamping will work if it's on for longer so I'll try that. (also with more than one clamp)

Reducing camber

Now that I mostly go longer trips more than training runs, I would like to reduce camber so I don't have to jump on them to get good kick, so I clamped them together for 24 hours but it didn't change the camber one millimeter (camber is at 25mm, 50mm when both together). I will try longer periods to...

50 km at Holmenkollen 1959: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=th19O8I7v1Y Winning time was 3:18:46 Quite fun to see. Notice the 'home made' single track through bumpy woods. Not too much snow either. The old style double poling bending the upper body almost 90° is unique for the era. Also how they sort...
