Re: Blink 2018

So weird to see skiing in the summer.. Johaug delivered a knockout, but expected as she's an uphill specialist. Kruger and Holund continue their great form winning the uphill, but Bolshunov winning the 60k is a warning of things to come this winter. Hard to forget he's only 21, and seems like it's t...

Re: Classic Rollerskis that can Handle Variety of Surfaces?

For brakes I would suggest the type which is attached to the boot like made by Fischer or Skike, leaving you free to chose any ski model. I haven't tried either but seems to be better than the type that's fixed to the ski as it doesn't interfere with the weight and balance point of the ski, and got ...

Wassup?

After the best winter for years came the best summer I can remember so obviously loving it even if a bit on the warm side. If this is climate change I'm loving it.. ;) Still to get rollerskiing, but even normal gym training has been suspended in the heat and after the busy winter skiing season. Just...

Re: Tracking Issue on Jenex RC150

Jenex has a thing to adjust one axis of the front wheel, see picture: https://i.imgur.com/bRUyWtF.jpg Basically loosen the screw and push the little tab to move the wheel. Of course to align it to the rear a tool like Magnus has suggested would be the best, but you could at least sort the worst of i...

Re: Double Poling Question

That's interesting, but don't know if the long stride is recommended from a performance point of view as I hear in World Cup how most have changed style to a more shorter stride, and only Russians and some others sticking with the traditional longer stride. Of course the Russians are just as fast so...

Re: Ole-Einar Bjørndalen retires at 44

Yes, another example of the super cool sportsmanship of Domracheva. Her gliding skating style maybe the nicest yet seen in women's skiing anywhere. Agree about the uncharacteristic and uncalled for grumpyness by Wierer here who is always so friendly, but pundits on TV says she is always complaining ...

Nice attitude. Second to last is also a place to fight for.

Very cool, well done. Are you doing active biathlon or just for fun?

Re: Ole-Einar Bjørndalen retires at 44

Such a shame, but understandable. A wonderful person. Her sporting move last year of giving Hinz her pole which she broke even if it meant compromising her own race and these things are common, was just an example of the sportsman she was. A nice summary of her career here: http://www.biathlonworld....

Road rage against rollerskiers

There is a known case where French biathlete Simon Fourcade was driven off the road on purpose while training in France and got hurt, but it's happened to veteran XC skier Anders Aukland and I'm sure others as well. Aukland actually had to take off his ski and use as a weapon as the driver came out ...

Expect her to smash them all up Lysebotn. Climbing always was her thing, being light.

Re: Ole-Einar Bjørndalen retires at 44

Sure the young wife had something to do with, but maybe more that he was running her life and even business (she has a clothes line) as I understood it. With a new kid as well it could have been the stress factor to give several spells pre-season, but then he's had symptoms for years now. About micr...

Wow how cool to have a course with them!

What's your take on the Nordeex skis? Reason for change?
