Re: Johaug is back

Let's hope it doesn't rain for the Blink this year. It will be good seeing Johaug back losing her cool with the runners!

Re: Johaug is back

Holmenkollen? Did you see the rain? (still at least she won't need sunscreen under the Oslo skies).

Re: Uphills

but generally is this endless climbing useful for anything? It sure isn't fun, and too hard training will take long to recover? Not for technique anyway, unless you are really strong. I went out at the weekend, first real rollerski of the year, 16km and it was pretty hard, and that was all flat... ...

vLogs to keep you going over the summer

Here's a couple which may be interesting:-

Johannes Høsflot Klæbo

and Aristide Begue (it focuses quite a bit on his sister who has moved up in the French B squad for 2019 so we may see a lot more of her in the future).

We've all seen "Climb to the Castle" and the Blink Festival where they climb the Norwegian "Alpe d'Huez" (Lysebotn Opp). What tips do people have for climbing other than the obvious of "lose weight" and "build muscle". I find it much harder on rollerskis than ...

That is a very good idea if they can get it to work, reliably.

Johaug is back

Therese Johaug was in a class of her own winning the 10 km long Forney Cup race on Thursday. Johaug participated in her first proper competition after she returned from a 18 month doping ban. She ran at 33.36 and was 1.31 minutes ahead of the national team colleague Østberg. https://www.abcnyheter.n...

Re: Johannes Høsflot Klæbo makes custom rollerski with IDT

I saw the article but couldn't make head nor tail of it. Are they getting rid of the any return ratchet and adding something that is based on your kick to stop the return, more like a real classic ski? Didn't someone here talk about something similar?

Re: World's most eager skier?

What a nice back garden. Would love to live like that one day, but only if there are (daily) groomed trails nearby. I'm so spoiled for that now.. And fab video in a beautiful scenery Trotro. I like the slow and 'hold' camera flying. Thanks guys, it was just an initial attempt at some video, the sno...

You've got nicer conditions than we have, no real re-freeze around here for crust skiing for weeks due to temperatures + cloud cover

Re: How to promote rollerskiing?

when I visited the page, one of the first thing I saw was a picture of girl with massive scrape up her whole side That is impressive! I've had about 3 accidents rollerskiing, all painful. I normally wear a helmet and elbow pads as I once landed very heavily on my elbows and chest. I used to do a lo...

Re: Rossignol S2 vs S2+

Thanks, I'm surprised Rossignol don't mention this on their website. So effectively it is the "stiff" version of the ski - as with other manufacturers.

Rossignol S2 vs S2+

Does anyone know what the difference is between the S2 and S2+ from Rossignol. There is a weight difference of 1g listed in the catalog and the S2+ is only available in larger sizes, I'm assuming it is stiffer?
