http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=3579786 I'm guessing you use this for intervals based on the length of it. How long do they end up being on this route? As for Afton I've snow skied at the actual state park so have seen some of the roads on the way in. I can see how this would make for some nice ro...

Where to find hills in Minnesota

Hi all. This is a Minnesota specific question so sorry to those who it doesn't apply. I've been rollerskiing on the grand rounds routes and the west river parkway. The routes are fun but they're relatively flat. Where can I find some hills around here? I've done elm creek a few times. The hills ther...

Skate skied terrace oaks in burnsville, mn. The snows still holding up well in the woods! Can ski the 5k loop continuously w/o taking off skis. Looks like it should hole up for another week maybe! I'm going to start mixing in biking, running, and basic strength into my workouts though so maybe a few...

I'm jealous of those swiss pics! We're out of natural snow here (minneapolis). Might go check out theo wirth tomorrow to see if the snowmaking loop is holding up. Kinda feel like taking out my road bike too but not sure if the salt is still a problem on the road (it's a pretty nice bike)

Got out to Theo Wirth around 3:00. Was very warm, probably around 40, and I got to ski in shorts for the first time of the year.Skate Skied the back nine over and over until I didn't want to ski hills anymore. Fun day for skiing as it was warm, moderately fast, and still good coverage!

Thanks for the replys! Kuan have you participated in the Go! Program? If so what did you like and dislike about it? The one thing that I don't like about it is that it doesn't start until summer. It would be nice to have some training partners before the summer. Jeff: Do you have any links or book r...

Create my own plan or join a club

Hi all, After a nearly 4 year departure from being a serious skier I think I am ready to get back on the wagon. I used to race in High School and partly through college but am just getting back into it now (i'm 24). This winter I have been on snow 5-6 (usually 6) days a week and have been focusing m...

Northug is such a beast. His sprinting is just incredible to watch. I would love to figure out how to get my body into the position he does when he is sprinting 2x poling, incredible lean and power!

Welcome to the forums! I love the part of NY you live in. I was originally from the Hudson Valley but live in Minnesota now. I really miss skiing at Lake Placid as it is one of the nicest places to xc ski on the planet!

Watched the race today. Was pretty exciting for sure though I wish there was more of a sprint for the finish. Biathlon is probably more fun of a spectator sport than normal xc or combined. Also Neuner is very attractive!

I skied at Murphy Haneran park reserve (Burnsville, MN). Wow is this place hilly! The razorback trail kicked my butt skating. Going to try classic there tomorrow and see if I do any better lol. Very fun place though!

Grats on having a good race! Sounds like a good time! I may do Mora next year. You guys think Matt is going to pull the Midwest hattrick with 1sts in the Vasa, COLL, and Birkie?
