Sizing for Madshus Ultrasonic Classic XC Skis

Anyone have any idea about size for the Madshus Ultrasonic Classic XC Skis? There are a couple of places online that have them cheap, I'd like to pick up a pair as a backup/training ski. I can't find any weight based sizing information for them though. I weigh 185-190, so I'm guessing the longest at...

Re: How are magic Nanogrip and Optigrip doing?

I have a pair of the original Nano Grip skis from 2011. I can't compare them to skin skis, but I like them above 25-26 degrees. Good kick, decent glide. Below that and they're ice skates. I can't effectively kick with them, but they are super fast.

Re: Classic Race (Location) Recommendations for a Novice?

I would second the Winona Forest Tourathon. That was the first classic race I did. It is flat and pretty low key. I am thinking of doing the Art Roscoe loppet this year, I believe it has a lot more vertical.

Re: Roller ski Brake

Interested to see if you still like the brakes. I am in the market for brakes and these seemed to be interesting. I like the use of the cord rather than getting in a tele stance, even though I tele ski. Rollerskis are not as stable as a nice fat tele ski.

Peltonen Nanogrip ski issues

I purchased a pair of Peltonen Nanogrip skis at the end of the 2011 Ski season. I didn't get to ski them much in 2012 because of health issues, but did use the last year and have gotten out a fair amount this year. I live in Central Pennsylvania, so the norm is warm, wet snow. This year has been an ...

Anyone have a GPS track of the Bretton Woods marathon course

Just interested in the amount of vertical and how technical the terrain is. Any information would be appreciated.

Eastern Loppet selection

I am looking for a marathon, skate or classic, in the Eastern U.S. and Canada for next winter. This would be my first marathon. I would prefer a less easier course for a first time, both technically and climbing wise. Below are the races I am considering and my thoughts. Any input would be appreciat...

Mt. Washington Cup 15k

Well, the Sugarloaf race is out. I found out I have other commitments that weekend. How is the terrain for the Mt. Washington Cup 15k? I haven't been able to find anything about it online.

Thanks. I would prefer the Rangely race but my wife's birthday falls in that timeframe and she won't go for a ski race at that time. I will contact the Colby folks about this year' s course.

Sugarloaf Ski Marathon

I am looking at doing the 25k Sugarloaf race in Mid-March. Does anyone have any info on the course, such as total vert per loop? How technical is the course? This would be my first XC ski race so I am looking for any info. Thanks.
