Re: Swix Just Click Handle Question

I have these grips in the rubber (non cork) version on both my skate (two pair) and classic poles and I love them. I've been using them for at least 5 years with no issues.

Re: Heart troubles and XC skiing?

I don't know about any more or less than biking or other activities. I know of people in both that have just dropped mid exercise. This happened just last month. I heard it was a heart issue but I do not know for certain. http://www.silentsports.net/Content/Default/Bloggers/Article/CXC-head-coach-Ig...

Re: How to break up big bars of wax?

I haven't done done exactly this but any saw should work if you don't mind some loss. You could also heatup a thin piece of wire and sear your way through it for little to no loss.

Re: XCSki Forum Update

Looks like the last round of spam prevention that I installed has been thwarted. I try to check the forum a few times a day and cleanup the spam posts/delete spam accounts. I'll try to update the forum this week and install some new prevention methods.

Sorry for any inconvenience!

Re: POLL: How often do you wax your skate skis?

I tend to only rewax when the temp changes are significant or fall out of the range of the last wax application. I'm lazy though. :)

Sorry about dragging my feet on this. Finally got to making the code edits. I tested a couple and they seem to be working.

Re: For sale posting rules

I don't see why not. Perhaps there should be some kind of washing policy on baselayers? :) I'll leave that up to the buyer/seller to sort out.

I'm not sure off hand if there is a site wide setting for this. I will look.

I haven't touched that page in years now. I should probably look to see if it gets used much. It wouldn't take a lot to fill it up.

The latest mods have been doing so well that I've changed user registrations to just email verify instead of admin review. If anyone sees fishy posts popping up please notify me or flag them.

Thanks!

Re: Midwest Racing

I've gotten one day of skiing in so far this year (Central, WI), very disappointed, though... after looking at my logs I saw that Jan 15th was the first day I skied last season. I think there is some hope for Feb.
