Wipe On Summer Storage Wax?

Postby Jon44 » Fri Jul 03, 2015 5:46 pm

I'm late to the party, but am trying to get my skis ready for (already here) summer storage.

I've got a few pairs of skis with metal edges and have always found it a pain to try to use an iron them. I was thinking of cleaning the base and then using some sort of cheapo liquid wax as a storage wax. Would appreciate any suggestions for what makes the most sense given current understanding of what it takes to protect a base.

Thx, Jon

I would use a paraffin hot wax and not a wipe on liquid. It take a little more effort but the protection will be much better.
