Gripwax for days that swing above and below? Sun / shade

Postby JeffOYB » Wed Jan 31, 2018 10:46 am

I have a friend who's spending the winter out in the Tetons. He's new to waxing. He has the basic green blue purple red swix waxes.

He's been enjoying Blue days.

They now have 2-day old snow and temps 36F at sunny lower parts of the ski trails and 28 in the snow after he climbs a ways and gets in the shade.

It's been awhile since I waxed for that! He said his Red was great down low but when he got to where the snow was colder it clumped up.

I told him to cover the chilled Red w a thin coat of Purple that he'd had in his pocket to be warmer. ...Only thing I cd think of. I also told him to go to the local shop and find out what works in this common mountain range situation.

Any ideas?

He might like trying Grip Tape. He might not.

Start Oslo Violet would work in those ranges
