Rollerski Double Pole

Postby dcpattie » Sat Aug 18, 2018 7:27 am

What are the disadvantages for straight DPing on skate rollerskis vs classic rollerskis? I'm thinking that the taller skate wheel might be better suited (safer) for rolling over the occasional gravel that's often on my paved trail. I'm thinking about buying skate rollerskis with slow wheels.

I do this all the time. Works fine for me! And you can skate if you need a break from DP.

I think it's a good idea. I DP on classics (and fall a lot) but I diagonal very little. Buying wheels for these things is expensive, but if you don't change wheels often, they won't track well. Skate wheels seem to last forever.

I have a set of skate skis with the slowest wheels (Rollerski Shop); good for strength, I guess, but too tough for me in V1,V2, O.F.; I don't use them a lot.
Maybe I'll try a D.P. work out on them.
