Hi from New Hampshire!

Hi everyone! I am a brand new XC skier. I have a beautiful pair of wooden skis I'm trying to get ready for snow (if we ever get some here) and my kids have been skiing around the backyard and woods and are way ahead of me already, of course.
Glad to be here, and thanks for adding me!

Welcome Sarah. Ahh, wood skis, I remember them. My favorite was a pair of Bonna 2000 skis. They were great. Had lingnostone edges and they performed great. -- until I hit a tree and broke them.

Wood skis are actually still popular among hunters here in Norway because they work well with a minimum of fuss and and are not quite so slick, which means they are easier to control. Good wood skis are nice in dry snow. I'm sure you will have lots of fun with your skis!

Thanks! It's finally snowing here, and I'm going to try them out today!
