from the Eastern Sierras

Post by Nevada » Wed Jan 06, 2016 4:07 am

We have a wonderful amount of snow this season and I’ve recently acquired some new cross country skis. I’ve regularly skied both alpine and Nordic from childhood but consider myself intermediate in skills and experience. I’m only just now getting the opportunity to ski more than a few times a season. I don’t live where the snow is deep enough to ski, but it’s not far, about 30 minutes drive. Since I bought some offtrack cruising skis about a month ago, I’ve been able to ski ten days. I hope to continue to ski several times a week through the rest of this season. I’m learning more about the gear, what works, and why. My wife and kids are also skiing for their first time.
