Try your hand at a low key Biathlon event

Postby lsharvell » Mon Jan 07, 2013 12:27 pm

Several Biathlon events are held each year at Pemigewasset Valley Fish and Game in Holderness NH. The upcoming event will be on 1/12/13 and with the snow will be prepared for skiing. Skiing will be freestyle so you can use skating or classic skis. There will also be classes for snowshoes.

For more information got to http://www.pemi.org/biathlon

Don't have a gun, no problem. The club has loaner rifles that can be used by beginner participants. If you do have your own rifle, it must be a bolt action .22 rifle with removable magazines and you must be shooting subsonic ammunition.

Never fired a gun, no problem. The club will provide training in safe firearms handling and will oversee all persons on the range.

The recommendation is to bring older skis, this is a shooting range not a ski area. While the trail will be snowmobile groomed it may be rough.

All the events are low key experience and bragging rights being the only thing that you can win!

These events have been held for a number of years and we would like to expand the participation.

If you post any questions here I'll try to answer them
