I stumbled across this new Rottefella Back Country binding system on page 18/19 in Rottefella’s 2019 product catalog. Does anyone have any information about this?
It looks like a replacement for the slightly more rugged backcountry systems like NNN-BC or SNS X-Adventure. It pivots on steel pins, but you can see that it also has a toe bumper. So we can assume this is tailored specifically for something like longer rolling backcountry terrain, or XCD (Steve Barnett style Xross-Country-Downhill).
Interestingly enough the mechanism to disconnect the boot from the binding seems to be a cable that runs through the entire sole of the boot (cable exits at the heel), which obviously causes the spring-loaded pins on both sides of the toe to retract. This allows it to connect and disconnect from what looks like a extremely simple binding with no moving parts.
I also found a video on Rottefella’s YouTube site that had a couple of shots of one of their designers working on the system at 0:24 seconds:

It looks like he has a boot in front of him, that has a large white a capital letter A on the heel. At first I thought this was an Alpha (of Norway) boot, but it doesn't seem to have the exact same logotype as Alpha. Does anyone have any information on who is working on this system (boots, or an OEM badged binding) with Rottefella?
