I brand new here, and a retired guy who hikes in the Rockies all summer. I want to do what they call Back country touring, not tele,or AT. The boots have a wider cross pin under the toe. Everyone I talk to seems to think tele ,this must be a new thing. Anyway I'd like to ski in all kinds of snow, on mostly rolling somewhat treed terrain, maybe the ocasional steep ,but not to high hills. I'd like to chat with someone doing this. I don't want to spend $700- $900 then find I should have gotten different skis and boots etc.
Any advise will be eagerly listened to.
Thanks
ps I'm a downhill skier.
BC nnn and BC sns advise needed.
