Apparently there was a double poling only race for the first time. Anyone have a video link for those races?

Impressive double poling by Musgrave. He deliberately got rid of a lot of muscle mass and it's working well, but how many times do we see 'summer stars' fade come the winter.
Therese Johaug is so much in a class of her own on uphills like this that pundits are seriously suggesting she should join the next men's race and I agree that would be fun to see.

Musgrave hasn't risen to the challenge in the big events, maybe next season will see a breakthrough?Neuro wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2019 12:40 amImpressive double poling by Musgrave. Did you watch the 60km classic? The three leading women were quite competitive in that. I'd love to see Johaug against the guys and can't see why the men's event can't be open. Do you have the timings for Lysebotn Opp?
Re: Blink 2019 - Lysebotn Opp - Races
To answer my own question Johaug would have been 18th in the Men's race, about 10% off the winning time. Of course if she were in a group she may have come higher but I can't see her winning. Musgrave, Kruger and Johaug are all in the same ballpark though.

She is such an incredible athlete, for example, she just recently ran a 32:20.86 10k on the track which was good enough to be the fifth fastest time by a Norwegian woman! https://runningmagazine.ca/the-scene/cr ... ing-shoes/Neuro wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2019 12:40 amImpressive double poling by Musgrave. Seriously, these world class nordic skiers are freak athletes. Power-to-weight, ability to run with national-class athletes, downhill skills that rival alpine skiers...they're amazing!
