2014 Sigge's P'ayakentsut - February 22-23

Postby nxski » Thu Sep 12, 2013 3:40 pm

This is looking to be a huge race this year with over 1000 participants at the Whistler Olympic Park over 2 days. Who's planning to attend?

Nexski: I'm not a racer but I'd really like to ski in and around this site.

Have you managed to get down to Methow? How does Whistler compare? (sorry, bit of a thread drift here...)

The race isn't just for racers. We have a ton of recreational skiers that come out. I've never skied at Methow, but I hear it's great. Whistler has a massive amount of trails (almost 100km), but the weather is usually a bit warmer, so you don't get those nice -10C ski conditions very often. It's a great place to text the zero skis though.

I grew up around Seattle and lived in Bellingham for a couple of years, so I know what you mean about the warmish weather. But hey, I love my Zeros! and 100 km's in beautiful scenery is very nice indeed. Anyway, ski in the morning, right?

That's right! There's usually tons of snow as well. last year we had almost 5 meters!
