So say skiers and commentators of Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo (20) of Norway, and it's clear why as today he managed to get a podium in his first ever world cup race as a senior (he did one WC race last year after becoming world champion junior), in the opening race of the world cup, which was classic sprint in Ruka, Finland. This was after winning the prologue so it was incredible.
And last weekend he beat all at the Norwegian season opener at Beitostoelen, that time in skate. Last year he dominated as a junior.
His skiing technique in both styles gets raves, as does his burst and top speed, but IMO what's even more impressive is his tactical awareness and levelheadedness in races. Also off the track he is very mature, not getting carried away and saving his energy, like he knows this is just one small step. Amazing..
