Jessie in the 5K

Postby MN Hoser » Thu Dec 08, 2016 8:36 pm

Ok, I guess I have to put out there something on Jessie winning the 5K in Lillehammer. We don't get to celebrate much here in the US, and it was great to see. Particularly nice was that it occurred early in the season and she usually has it dialed in to be fast mid- and late-season. In Finland, she also had a nice classic race, not her best technique.

Seems like just a couple weeks ago Dave was giving her ---- about not attending our time trial.

I watched the race yesterday. So happy for Jessie. She is a spirited individual that always seems to be smiling. Love it!

Pretty cool to see her skiing around Afton a few weeks ago just like us master blasters and then see her win a race against the best in the world!

Yes very impressive. Her downhill skills is class of the field according to pundits. A very popular win, super nice person.

Seems the whole team is on the up with Sadie Bjornsen winning the sprint prologue (classic) as well.

Yes, I assume you mean the American ladies. USA will have a very strong relay team this winter, especially if Kikkan gets back to her normal standard. Sadie, Sophie, Kikkan and Jessica, is that the team that will take medals in Lahtis?
