Anyone else headed up/over/down to Ironwood MI this weekend for a chilly start to the Midwest marathon circuit?

Not too much debate on the weather and subsequent wax conditions for the weekend so I'm already working on hardening my bases. Thinking about getting another layer of windstopper for the top.

I'm feeling pretty fit and chasing "coach" around for the last two weeks with some really solid workouts. We aren't peaking for this race, but I still hope to see a solid result.

I wish I was as it is fairly close to me. I originally intended to enter and just do a nice easy supported distance day of training but the cold weather kept me from committing. I know they made quite a few changes to the race. I'll look forward to hearing what you thought in a race report. Stay warm!!

It was cold, windy, snowing, and slow. But fun.

I liked the changes to the course. I wouldn't have wanted to do another 10k Saturday anyhow, but aside from that the course flowed well and not jumping to 42k for the first big race was nice.
