Swedish daily Expressen reports that FIS is so disgusted with this new running style which they think will take over as they've seen people copying and many practicing on grass, that together with the double poling problem means they want to get rid of the classic sprint competition altogether.

What do you think about this?

Gee -- I think it is great to see people coming up with whatever advantage that their body can give them and propel them forward. Not like they have an electric motor assist in their legs.

It sort of reminds me of when skating first appeared. People were talking as if it was the end if skiing, lol.

Klaebo also has a super start technique, a huge advantage in sprint. He first drops down to get the initial movement, then notice how he basically tries to put all weight on one ski (I guess for less friction), and the double poling is done without much lifting of the torso, just the arms for higher frequency.
