How awesome are those Norg women, huh?

Postby JeffOYB » Thu Dec 28, 2017 8:48 pm

Wow, it kinda looks like the whole Norg women's team is better than all the ladies of everywhere else. Too bad for Sweden and Finland and Russia. Didn't they used to be countries that liked ski racing?

They have been dominating for many years now, but the current female World Cup leaders are both Swedish.

I believe you are thinking of the 10 km classic style race not in Davos but in Toblach: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TskyCcqNxy0

One can get the impression that they are always cleaning up, but in reality it's just Bjørgen, Johaug and lately Caspersen Falla in sprint. The rest don't have that many victories compared to Swedish Kalla, Nilsson and Polish Kowalczyk until recently and as Magnus says, the World Cups are led by Swedish.

Except for the Swedish early form, it's unfortunately also a bit typical for the team before big events like Olympics or World Championships to peak too early. No doubt Finnish Permakoski and others will come on strong later, and I might add that the American team are also a force to be reckoned with nowadays, olympic medals very much a possibility.
