50k results -- Sweden?
7th and 28th. What happened to the powerhouse?

Sweden is lacking new young talent. Look at Russia - I've never ever heard of these guys before Pyeongchang. I have to assume they're getting tested. Still, I have to think Ustiugov finishes in the top 3 if racing.
Prediction for tomorrow. Bjørgen, Kalla, Diggins. 1-2-3.

Marcus Hellner left the Olympics before the 50 km race saying his preparations do not meet the demands of such a race. Calle Halfvarsson has apparent health problems including IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Johan Olsson suspects that at least some of the Swedes are training too hard.

We have Oscar Svensson. Possibly Victor Thorn will become a world elite skier. That's it, really. Sweden will presumably have some very meager results the coming championships.

Yes, Russia has even more up and coming male skiers than Norway.

You were right about Björgen. Kalla had rather bad grip and Diggins fell. Stina Nilsson showed once again she is clearly better in classic style this season with her first distance medal in Olympics or World Championships. Krista Pärmäkoski took her third distance medal with her second place in the 30 km race.

Bad olympics for Heidi Weng. I thought she'd walk away with at least two medals.
