Stadium Biathlon

Not a new thing but are indoor biathlon competitions an aberration?

Domracheva and Bjoerndalen were competing in what is probably their last competition. Worth watching the end, in any case for a sporting gesture.

Awesome. They could do this in the new Minnesota Vikings stadium!

Almost 50 000 people for an indoor sporting event is crazy on any scale, but biathlon is simply one of the most popular sports in Germany, almost on par with Formula 1 as the second biggest after football I believe. But it's the same in other countries. TV viewing figures are very impressive all over.

It was quite moving to see Bjørndalen for the last time at full tilt and nice to see him doing well, except ski form but he had been sick right before the event. Very sporting gesture by Doll to let him get on the podium.
