Hi from Heidelberg

Helo, I'm originally from New Orleans so didn't see snow until my 20s really, just picked crosscountry skiing this season and really enjoy it. I want to learn skating as well next season. I've been enjoying the board as a lurker for a few months and thought I'd finally post.

Welcome. Its a good site this. Ive been cross country skiing for 4 seasons myself but have only just started taking it serious with waxing my own skis and investing in better gear. Many other posters here are a bit more experienced and Ive found a lot to help me get more out of skiing here.

Hello from the UK !

You will not regret taking up cross country, I love it and it is so versatile - no heavy boots or skis and plenty of great scenery.
I do occasionally struggle sweating through the wilderness but only because I have loitered too long in the shops in Mittenwald and need to get back to meet the kids from ski school
