What is "birther stuff"?
I think the subject is strongly cross-country related since among the suspects there are cross-country skiers.

Claims that Obama is not a real US president because he was [not born in the US, African/Kenyan, too black, not a 'real American' etc. etc.]
Sold as a marketing product to ~100 million US and overseas customers by Donald Trump a few years ago, withdrawn from the market (due to product obsolescence) by Donald Trump couple of months ago. http://edition.cnn.com/2016/09/15/polit ... ed-states/
Many overseas customers did not get the memo.I think the subject is strongly cross-country related since among the suspects there are cross-country skiers.
I've never seen pictures of Obama x-country skiing on the lawn of the White House.

Smacks of a witch hunt to me.

In legal systems with jury trial every now and then there is a public outcry about some particular jury decision. The masses just "know" that the defendent is guilty/innocent, and that the jury got it all wrong.
skiffrace wrote:What the masses fail to consider is that jury
A) has access to far more and better information than the media rumors available to the public and
B) spends days/weeks/months considering the case vs 10 seconds spend by the average judgemental Joe-Shmoe.
This attitude is a manifestation of "disdain for the experts" cognitive bias closely related to this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illusory_superiority
