Great to hear Jay, fingers crossed it's cured now.

Everything seems to be behind this year. So I’m late in starting intervals. I did my second set last weenend with a friend who was wearing a GoPro. This is the last of three 9 min uphill intervals. (So I’m tired.) He’s younger and stronger, so he passed me near the end. For those interested:

My times are about 15-20 seconds slower than in 2015.

Good technique and nice place to practice there although I did see at least one nasty hole in the asphalt.

I take it everything is still fine after the procedure or are you still holding back?

Thanks, and yes, I had to avoid that hole. Last week there was a branch to avoid, but the cars ground that to powder.

That’s about all the harder I can go. It was the last interval, so I can see that I’m tired and trying to extend the glide. I’m also switching to what we call open field and V1 earlier than other intervals. This one was about 9:15 and the fastest I’ve done (recorded on a Garmin) was 8:30. I got a Garmin about three years ago, so I may have been faster before that. The heart seems fine, and I just got done wearing a monitor for a week. I have a doc appt at the end of Oct.

Off for a long rode ride on the mt bike.

Jay
